As stated in our Principles, RRS believes in interrupting the harmful dehumanization strategies embedded in the system of white supremacy and fostering those that lead to collective liberation, in the work and society at large. This requires acknowledging patterns of ongoing harm and making different choices.
To address these needs, RRS offers a customized workshop series for white leaders. This series is focused on three primary learning outcomes. At the end of the series, participants will be better able to:

Testimonials
“I found my experience really impactful! I thoroughly enjoyed our group, the group size, YOU and your facilitation. You provide such a genuine model of how to be open, transparent and clear with communicating where you are in a moment or thought - as so many others in the group did too. We were able to foster a sense of virtual trust early on (which is not easy to do!) and I think the fact that I'm sad that it's over really shows something about how powerful it has been this year. Thank you!”
“Being part of the workshop series has been one of the most rewarding parts of the past year. I truly feel like I've learned, I've grown, and I'm walking away with a new level of awareness of who my best self is as a white person. I'm also motivated to better nurture myself and better hold myself and others accountable--which requires action.”
"It was truly life changing. I am a different person because of this experience, and it has changed how I work, how I parent, and how I am in the world and with others. Thank you."
"Transformative - I learned things about myself, whiteness, my responsibility, my power and what I need to become more human - I would not have recognized these things - or it would have taken much longer - if not for this group."
"It was powerful to see how the group evolved and shared more openly as the months went on. I appreciated the space to talk, listen, and process my own whiteness and the harm I have inflicted upon others. Additionally, I learned so much by watching how Meredith responded to people and continued to push us to own our whiteness and to not make excuses. This group was a slower pace than many of us are used to and I think that actually benefitted us. It required us to really be in the moment, listen to each other, and push appropriately on one another. I would love to continue this work."
"Enriching - I'm so grateful to Meredith, her curriculum, modeling her humanity, and the opportunity to have the complexity of race, whiteness and other cultures reflected back. The solution to whiteness is not the valuing of other cultures over whiteness, it is learning to understand how, where, and why whiteness shows up a unwritten cultural norms."
"It is a long and disciplined journey to understand how my whiteness shows up unconsciously. Meredith showed me how I want to reclaim my humanity and I'm very grateful to have had the opportunity to do this work."
"I think the White Leader Learning Group was an incredibly eye-opening experience that involved a lot of learning, unlearning and healing. This group really challenged me to see the aspects of this work that are in my control to change and improve for the people I work with and that are under my care. It really highlighted the value of compassion and I think challenged the participants to be vulnerable. I am more in tune now with how my emotions (or lack thereof) are connected to the work of anti-racism and am far more inspired to be a support to other white people - which I think is where the root of this work lies."
"The workshop series was not what I expected, but in the best of ways. I so appreciated the way that Meredith taught and modelled a different way of being and connecting with each other and with ourselves. What I am most taking away from the experience is that understanding my whiteness is not only about historical research and understanding how whiteness has manifest in policies and politics, but first and foremost about how I allow myself to feel and connect with myself, and how I allow myself to feel and connect with others."
"It has been transformative, occasionally devastating, and uplifting - all at the same time."
