Workplace racial climate research can be an excellent way to spot issues in your organization before they arise or dig deeper into issues that are already presenting themselves.
RRS uses a variety of rigorous qualitative and quantitative methods to do this work, combining surveys, focus groups, and interviews as needed. Each method is customized for your organization's needs and backed by ongoing research within the fields of critical race theory and feminist geography.
An end report provides easily digestible findings and key recommendations.

Case Study
RRS worked with long-time partner Noor Consulting to provide racial equity strategy support to a foundation client. The client was looking to assess internal dynamics, policies and practices around racial equity in order to create an equitable and just workplace. The first step of this engagement was for RRS to conduct a comprehensive organizational assessment, including a document review, an all staff survey, and a set of interviews. Two key findings from this research were that staff were 1) dissatisfied with how decision-making occurred, and 2) concerned about pay equity.
In response to these findings, the organization instituted a new decision-making process that convened a group of staff from all levels to transparently consult on the most critical decisions for the organization. They also contracted RRS to run a follow-up pay equity analysis, the results of which were helpful in making needed adjustments to staff pay.
